Candle Care
Candle burning Instructions & candle care
Never leave candles unattended, do not burn more than 4hrs at a time. Do not burn the candle all the way down once it’s a 1/2in from the bottom please discontinue use for safety. Keep away from walls, ceilings and drafts. Keep away from children and pets.
Crystals & Botanicals
Please remove large crystals from candle before burning or on first burn. They should pop off with some pressure. Please carefully use a spoon or tool to remove after first burn while wax is liquid, they may be hot! Never remove anything from the candle when lit. Crystals can be left in the candle, but you will not get an optimal burn. Crystals are to be used as palm stones once removed. Please see website for info on your crystals, suggested use, and ritual for intention setting. Always keep crystals and dried botanicals away from the wicks they will come placed away from the wick but may float once the wax heats up.
Wooden Wicks
Wooden wicks provide you with a beautiful crackling sound like a cozy fireplace, but they need to be burned a little different than a traditional cotton wick. I want you to get the best burn from you candle so here’s the run down:
For the best burn keep your wood wick trimmed to 1/8in and clear of any burn debris from previous burn. If you have trouble lighting the wick this is almost always why! Wood wicks need to be close to the wax, the wax fuels these wicks.
When lighting, tilt the candle to the side and light one corner of the wick and allow the flame to pull across the length of the wick.
For the first burn you’ll want to give the candle enough time to completely form a melt pool to the edges. Wax has memory and if you get a full melt pool on the first burn the wax will continue to burn that way on future burns this will prevent tunneling and extend the life of the candle.
Soy Wax things to note
Candles are made with 100% soy wax. Once burned and hardened you may notice some dimpling, this is normal and characteristic of soy as there are no additives. It does not affect the burn of candle.
